Barenton fountain, formerly known as Berenton, is a wonderfull fountain, described in several medieval writings. Hidden in the heart of the Broceliande forest, close to the Folle Pensée town. |
It’s in the big pond that lay near the castle where Lancelot of the lake would have been raised. Now here takes place the « Arthurian Imaginarian Centre », a place that can’t be ignored for the people who loves the Arthurian legend.

Eon Guillotin is a pedunculate oak a thousand year old, it is 20m high with more than 10m circonference. Born the same year Halley comet cruises near the earth… In year 1144, Eon the hermit called him after his own name. |
This monument is the relic of a neolithic covered alley destroyed in 1894, only 3 vertical pillars remains here. Numerous people dispose in the stone circle offerings to Merlin the Enchanter. |

Build on the ruins of an old priory founded in 645 by Judicaël, Domnonia ‘s king. Medieval gothic style from early 13th century. Swirls were added on the 15th century. in the choir and the transept. Baroque paintings are from the 17th century.

You can find loads of informations on the Broceliande’s "Office du Tourisme" (Sighseeing agency). Make a detour to reach Dinan, and Léhon the small charming town, and why not go as far as Saint-Malo and its battlements to enjoy the smell of the sea.
